Since 1979, Feed the Children has been dedicated to helping children and families. With the support of our donors and corporate partners, we deliver food and household essentials, offer nutrition training and clean water programs, provide school supplies, and assist in times of disaster.
There are multiple contributing factors to child hunger in the U.S., including household finances, family demographics and even geography. Feed the Children’s US programs meet immediate needs and facilitate sustainable solutions as we work to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry.
Our Work in the U.S. With the help of donors and community partners, we’re able to reach children and families in almost all 50 states. In fiscal year 2023, we distributed more than 86.4 million pounds of food and household essentials to people in the U.S.
In Kenya, Feed the Children works in both urban and rural settings throughout three counties, Turkana, Samburu, and Kajiado. We implement activities in all four areas of our Child-Focused Community Development (CFCD) program areas.
