The Cayuga Collegian is the school's official student newspaper. It was first published on October 31, 1953 at Auburn Community College as the Auburn Collegian. The name was changed to the Cayuga Collegian when Cayuga County began to sponsor the college, which was then renamed Cayuga County Community College in 1975.

It consists of twelve elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, and the Rocklin Alternative Education Center. The only college in Auburn is Cayuga Community College, a two-year school. C.C.C., as it is known locally, is located on Franklin Street. The city had been the home of Auburn Theological Seminary, a Presbyterian institution established in 1818, which relocated to New York City in 1939. [19]
