The main secondary school in the city, of the Pascagoula-Gautier district, is Gautier High School, whose doors opened in 1996 and which was awarded blue ribbon status by the Department of Education in 2005. The city is also served by Gautier Middle School, Singing River Academy, and three elementary schools.

Sometime before 1989, 10th graders began to be housed at what was known as "The Annex" in the former Carver High School building due to the limited capacity of the old Pascagoula High School. It was created through a charter with the School District of Manatee County. [4] The school includes grades 6–12, with the Venice campus only having grades 9-12. [5] The Bradenton campus is outside the city limits, in the Bayshore Gardens census-designated place. The Venice campus is in an unincorporated dump. [6] [7]
