Frederic Charles Willard (September 18, 1933 [a] – May 15, 2020) was an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his work with Christopher Guest in his mockumentary films This Is Spinal Tap (1984), Waiting for Guffman (1996), Best in Show (2000), A Mighty Wind (2003), For Your Consideration (2006), and Mascots (2016).
Guest has a small role as Corky St. Clair, a character he first played in Waiting for Guffman. Posey, Willard, Lake, Balaban, and Hitchcock also appeared in Guffman, but play different roles in this film. Mascots premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2016, before being released on Netflix on October 13, 2016. [1] [2]
