I usually use warm water, 5 sprays of Windex, and a tiny squirt of Dawn. I''d love to hear what others use! Pretty much the same. A good maintenance regime would be regular ultrasonic and occasional steam. For the steam to be fully effective the dirt and film must be loosened up. The ultrasonic does that, but does not always get all the dirt off. The steam takes care of the residual. This one looks pretty cool - both ultrasonic and steam in one machine:

Just brush all over the diamond and make sure you get the underneath of the stone as well. Don't be scared to brush it, you won't hurt it.
