Ward County is a county in the U.S. state of North Dakota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 69,919, [1] making it the fourth most populous county in North Dakota. Its county seat is Minot. [2] Ward County is part of the Minot, ND Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Along with two other "distinctive county buildings in North Dakota", the Barnes County Courthouse and the Burke County Courthouse, it was designed by the Minneapolis, Minnesota, firm Toltz, King, and Day. [2] Costing $498,000, it was the most expensive county courthouse built in the state for almost 30 years. [3]
