Woodstock is a city in Cherokee County, Georgia, United States. The population was 35,065 as of 2020 according to the US Census Bureau. [4] Originally a stop on the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, Woodstock is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The city was the tenth fastest-growing suburb in the United States in 2007. [5]
In 2008, it merged with NYC Veterinary Specialists and Cancer Treatment Center in New York City and Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Kansas City, creating BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital. [4] In 2010, Georgia Veterinary Specialists and Michigan Veterinary Specialists also merged with the firm. [5]

In May 2004, Woodstock Farm Sanctuary was founded outside of Woodstock, NY. In 2014, Woodstock Farm Sanctuary purchased a 150-acre property to be able to rescue additional animals and increase Public Education opportunities [1] When the Sanctuary moved locations they also updated their name from Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary to Woodstock Farm Sanctuary.
