Gorilla Grodd became the ruler of Gorilla City by overthrowing Emperor Solovar and eventually conquered all of Africa. Despite his great success, Gorilla Grodd feels unfulfilled since none of his enemies have been able to prove a challenge to him, and the war between Aquaman and Wonder Woman has overshadowed his actions, constantly frustrating him.
