"Been Caught Stealing" is a song by American rock band Jane's Addiction, released in November 1990 by Warner Bros. as the third single from the band's second album, Ritual de lo Habitual (1990). The song is also the band's biggest hit, spending four weeks at No. 1 on the US Billboard Modern Rock chart. [ 3 ]
Singles from Ritual de lo Habitual include "Been Caught Stealing" and "Stop! Ritual de lo Habitual is certified 2× Platinum in the U.S. In 1990, one month after its release, the album had sold 500,000 units.
The album featured four singles including the number-one singles "Stop!" and "Been Caught Stealing". After this album, they took a 13-year hiatus away from new music, however, they did release six compilation and live albums between 1987 and 2009. Strays was their first full-length studio album in 13 years.
