State Highway 7 (SH 7) is an east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from Interstate 35 at Eddy to U.S. Highway 84 about 3 miles (4.8 km) west of the Louisiana state line. Between Crockett and Nacogdoches , SH 7 passes through the Davy Crockett National Forest .
The site was founded in 1885 for a station for the Houston, East and West Texas Railway. The land was donated by Benjamin Franklin Morris, and the site was named for his grandson Joaquin Lopez . [4] The post office was opened in the following year. The site operated as a shipping point for cotton and lumber, with a lumber mill functioning there.

The San Joaquin Valley Railroad (reporting mark SJVR) is a short line railroad, among several in the Western Region Division of parent company, Genesee & Wyoming Inc. It operates over about 371 miles (597 km) of owned or leased track primarily on several lines in California's Central Valley/San Joaquin Valley around Fresno and Bakersfield.
The line would run within the median of Interstate 580 (I-580), right-of-way of the first transcontinental railroad owned by Alameda County, and new right-of-way in San Joaquin County. [6] It is being planned by the Tri-Valley–San Joaquin Valley Regional Rail Authority, a special-purpose district body formed for the sole purpose of its planning.
