Michael Böllner (born September 14, 1958) is a German former child actor known for playing Augustus Gloop in the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.He was one of two child actors from the film who never acted in another production afterwards, the other being Peter Ostrum who played Charlie Bucket.
The actor, Philip Wiegratz, wore a fatsuit for the production. In the book, both of Augustus's parents accompany him to the factory. Both film versions contradict this, however, and only his mother goes with him. In the 2013 London musical, Augustus Gloop is known as "the Bavarian Beefcake" in his Alpine community.
