The third gave .015” indent. I wrote letters to the Chief Engineers of all three firms. All three firms told me to send them in. One of the three firms Product Service Managers emailed me and wanted me to participate in a conference call with him and their Chief Engineer about the problem with their particular weapon. This was very interesting.
Jul 23, 2017. #1. I built my first AR 15 and it works great! I didn't like its color scheme so I painted it flat black with Rustoleum heat resistant paint. Baked it in my oven for 3 hours at 350 degrees. I did sand it, cleaned it and primed it before painting. Now the paint isn't flaking off except when ever i handle it I get a black powdery ...
Jun 26, 2018. #2. You can take a Mec-gar CZ-75B mag and trim about .050 from the upper mag catch on both sides and it will work great. It took less than 5 minutes to make a Zenith mag out of a Mec-gar. I would suggest trim a little and test fit. I got a Mec-gar CZB mag from Brownells for about $16. The upside is the mod-ed mag will still work ...
Loosely install the screws into the bottom of the stock. c. Tighten the two screws as follows: Do not tighten one screw all the way and then the other. Instead, alternately tighten each one – a partial turn at a time – so that the screws will be tightened equally until both are snugly tightened to 60-80 in-lbs.”.
I would like to refinish my stock and fore-end on my first shotgun ever, my Browning Citori O/U. I have a few bumps and nicks in the wood. I want sand these down, re-stain and reseal. My only worry is the checkering. I don't wanna mess the checkering up and I want to stain the whole thing very...
293. Dec 1, 2016. #8. You can load the magazine on a CZ 527 carbine with the magazine inserted in the firearm. That said, because it is a "single feed" magazine it cant be done in the traditional sense of loading a standard mauser type action (i.e. simply pushing the rounds down from the top of the magazine).
PLUS it has no smell - so cleaning in the house will affect no one's olfactory senses. I HIGHLY recommend it for general gun cleaning. I ALSO like the Militec oil & grease for lube purposes. The MPro oil is also a good, thin oil for lube purposes and Tetra Grease works very well too.
Thanks for all the replies! :) I know I haven't been terribly active on this thread, but is seems we have over 100 votes. Semi-autos are taking a back seat to revolvers on this one. Everyone is different of course, and I'm not making any judgements about inherent accuracy, ease of use, or...
I don't have a lot of experience shooting uncoated lead. I've shot a few hundred rounds through this revolver, roughly 100 jacketed and mostly MBC LRNFP. I wipe it down with oil after each use but haven't really cleaned the bore or chambers until yesterday. There is some stuff remaining in the...
I need some opinions on what you folks think is the best lubricant for the inners of semiautos - Slide, rails, etc. Couple of years ago I bought a lubricant designed for that purpose. I comes in a small clear needle-nose applicator bottle - seems to be about an ounce of two - can't find the...
