The Bourbon Hospice for the Poor (Italian: Albergo Reale dei Poveri), also called il Reclusorio, is a former public hospital/almshouse in Naples, southern Italy. It was designed by the architect Ferdinando Fuga, and construction began in 1751. It is five storeys tall and approximately 354 m (1,161 ft) long. [1]

[4] [3] The current company was founded in 1983, when the previous owners sold the Ritz-Carlton brand name and the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. [3]
This area had a small beach, lush vegetation, and most notably was characterized by a tall cliff that abruptly met the sea. At the top was a small, white-walled fisherman's chapel called San Pietro. Cinque fell in love with the place and, in 1962, [2] [1] he successfully purchased the land from his brother-in-law.
