The Border Security Force (BSF) is a central armed police force in India under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is responsible for guarding India’s borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh . As of 2005, SSB had 25 battalions and received government clearance for 20 more battalions, 2 sector HQ and 1 frontier HQ in 2 years.
