I really like the looks of the blued/Walnut ones and was wondering if they have any issues with accuracy. Is 1" at 50yds. a reasonable expectation from one of these? txn63, 2 MOA is a lot to expect from any 10/22 except for target models. 2.5" 50 yd groups are normal. Anything better that that would be luck.

They list the proper torque for all screws on the 10/22. My 10/22 came from the factory complete with a loose scope rail.
The barrel would be a little heavier than your carbine but not a straight .920". Before making any decisions, I would suggest a good cleaning, take it and a couple of boxes of CCI SV or Federal Automatch to the range and give it a good workout. Sporter barrels tend to be shooters and you may not need/want to swap.
Welcome to the forum. As far as parts and accessories go about anything out their should fit a 1977 10-22. As far as what to look for just give it a good visual check. Check the stock for any cracks or dings in the wood that might indicate it might have been abused. Check the crown on the end of the. barrel make sure it does not have any dings ...
Those models are Ruger newest Talo LVT models with threaded barrels. #31166 is blued and #31167 is stainless, but otherwise everything else is the same. Bolt, lever, and pump action 22 LR rifles typically have a tight headspace ... no more than .002". Semi-autos typically have more generous headspace (up to .015") to make feeding less problematic. The trend with 10/22s is to measure the distance between the bolt face and breech face with the bolt in battery.
