UAM's Cantoblanco Campus holds most of the university's facilities. It is located 15 km (9.3 mi) north of Madrid and has an extension of over 2,200,000 m 2 (24,000,000 sq ft). Of these, nearly 770,000 m 2 (8,300,000 sq ft) are urbanised and about a third of them garden areas. UAM offers 94 doctorate programs in all of the universities studies.
