This List of British racecourses gives details of both current and former horse racing venues in Great Britain. As of 2 March 2025, there are 59 racecourses operating in Great Britain (excluding Point-to-Point courses). Hereford racecourse reopened in October 2016 having been closed since 2012.
Race distances are often given to the nearest furlong: e.g. The Derby's exact distance is 1 mile 4 furlongs and 6 yards, but it is called a 1 mile 4 furlong race. The races in bold are run on an all-weather surface. Races are run on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket unless 'Newmarket (July)' is written, in which the July Course is used.

The horse Blue Warrior strayed and fell into Kempton Park's centre-course lake having jumped before the start of the 19.20 on 14 January 2009. The rescue operation to get the horse out of the lake caused the race to be delayed by 15 minutes, with the horse rescued and sustaining a minor cut to his leg. [8]
