The show was renewed for a 15-episode 16th season on June 1, 2022 and started production on the same day. It premiered in the fall in Canada and will premiere on June 1, 2023 on Up Faith and Family and in the summer on the main Up TV channel in the US. Up Faith and Family season 16, episode 10 was a 'mid-season finale'.

Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (also known by its initials as GLOW or G.L.O.W.) is a women's professional wrestling promotion that began in 1986 (the pilot was filmed in December 1985) and has continued in various forms after it left television. Colorful characters, strong women, and over-the-top comedy sketches were integral to the series' success.
GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling combines footage from the television series with interviews of some of the wrestlers, done about 15 years after the TV show ended. Towards the end of the movie, the women of GLOW have a reunion party in Orange County, California.
