1997–2000 Chrysler Sebring coupe. The 1995 through 2000 Chrysler Sebring coupe was the successor to the Chrysler LeBaron coupe. The first generation Sebring coupe was introduced in April 1995, several months after the related Dodge Avenger. [1]
The resulting vehicle was a critically panned commercial failure, due to it being based on K-car components, as well as having both a strong resemblance to, and being only marginally more capable, than the much lower-priced Chrysler LeBaron convertible.
The coupe is built by Diamond Star motors, the convertible is a lone model from Chrysler, and the sedan is a rebadged Dodge Stratus. The retractable hardtop used on the Chrysler Sebring (and its successor the Chrysler 200) was marketed alongside a soft-top.
