  2. What predator leaves rabbit intestines on lawn? - Home -...

    forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2714893

Humans are about the only predator who would discard the gut and unless he wanted to sell the fur pelt or keep it for some other purpose he would discard that as well. An inspection of the skin should tell if it was a hunter. To skin a rabbit an incision is run length ways up each hind leg from the ankle joint.

  3. Weed Killer and Bunnies - Pets - Whirlpool Forums

Unfortunately many people make the (incorrect) assumption that because glyphosate is such a potent weed killer it must also be harmful to people/animals. Couldn't be further from the truth. Free the bunnies, they will be 100% fine. Of more concern is if they eat most of the sprayed parts of the weeds the glyphosate will be less effective.

  4. Argh! How do I get rid of Crows?? - Home - Whirlpool Forums

    forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1369112

The easiest way I have got rid of them in the past is with a low powered sligshot or glove gun and a big marble (enough to give it a whack, or a near miss against a tin wall) and they will soon get the message. Just make sure no-one is watching, see first paragraph for reasons why. User #35288 770 posts. hellsfury.

  5. posted 2016-Feb-19, 5:45 pm AEST. Rats and birds are the worst offenders for tomatoes. If the tomato has been pecked at or eaten on the vine, birds. If the remains of it are found on the ground somewhere (or mysteriously vanished completely) probably rats.

  6. Just as we eat meat, so do miners eat eggs & crows eat miners & believe it or not the Channel Billed Cuckoo lays it's eggs wherever & whoever's nest it can & the baby that hatches, pushes the eggs of the other species up & out of the nest. So then the Cuckoo gets raised by a completely foreign bird. Nature – frightening & amazing all in one.

  7. Broccolini: Stem Centre is White - Food - Whirlpool Forums

    forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2155720

Where the vascular system in not fully formed the white pith develops, which is the white substance you see in the stem. We can assure you the white pith has no effect on taste or shelf life of the broccoli and you may find you will encounter this again until the crops planted in warmer months become productive.

posted 2012-Aug-14, 6:36 pm AEST. When my fish started going missing I thought it was birds rather than cats, as I have dogs. Then one day I saw the Blue Heeler leaning over the pond. So instead of telling him off, I watched. All a sudden he lunged forward and bang, he had a gold fish.

  9. posted 2017-Aug-7, 8:51 pm AEST. My understanding is if it predates 1973 when the international ban in trading in endangered animals (CITES) came in, it can be sold. The catch is that it needs to be authenticated, so proof of age is required. I wouldnt follow the advice to break it in half and throw it away.

  10. Last time I saw it I was a kid and was awed by the amazing spectacles. But watching it now I am amazed at what they were able to accomplish. It is an exceptional documentary. Thanks for the clues! It is also interesting what a child remembers. I could remember the volcano and the animals but completely forgot about all the people!

  11. How to deter birds from your garden? - Gardening discussion

    forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2588467

So I'm left mostly with the swallows, lovely little birds who seem to feed off the insects that land on my flyscreens. So they sit on the nearby handrail and feed from there, then settle to digest their bounty under the roof of the semi-enclosed back deck (~6mx6m). The residue they leave suggests they must eat a lot of insects.
