Welcome to the Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band website. We're excited to be celebrating our 39th Anniversary this 2024-2025 season. We offer free concerts for the public every month, welcoming talented guest artists and playing a wide range of themed music with many arrangements written by Dr. Petrocelli.
History of the Show Band. The Ontario/Chaffey Community Show Band was organized in 1985 when former Chaffey High School students urged band director Jack Mercer to come out of retirement and organize an Alumni band.
The Ontario Chaffey Show Band is able to rehearse and provide musical programs free of charge to our community thanks to the generous support of our show sponsors, donors, and members of the Friends of The Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band Concert Society.
Chaffey Community Show Band is based in Ontario, California. Founded in 1985, the band is under the direction of Dr. Gabe Petrocelli.

The Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band was founded in 1985 by the late, great R. Jack Mercer. Our 2015-2016 season celebrates 30 years of outstanding music, continuing to pay tribute to the man who started it all. Members of the band reside in over two dozen communities in Southern California.

We rehearse every Monday night from 7-9pm at Chaffey High School in the Jack Mercer Music Hall. Just bring your instrument any Monday night and we'll be happy to have you sit in with the band. If you have any questions you can email the director at the address below.
