The Steel Curtain coaster at Kennywood Park is entering the next phase of its renovations, according to a statement from general manager Ricky Spicuzza. The park posted a statement on Facebook : Throughout the season, our team has been hard at work toward the reopening of the Steel Curtain in 2025.
Kennywood is known for quality and doing things the right way. I am highly surprised these things have come to light. When there's a lawsuit, and a major settlement the day before it goes to trial, you'd better believe that both attorneys have exhausted every possible avenue for defending the structure, or finding fault in it.
Kennywood's new themed area, Volcano Valley, made its opening day debut on April 26th as Kennywood kicked off its 105th season. The new area consists of King Kahuna, a Huss Top Spin from Lake Compounce, and Volcano, Kennywood's existing Huss Enterprise that sports a new color scheme and is now surrounded by volcanic rock.

Kennywood does the 3rd best Halloween attractions and atmosphere in the USA (only 3rd to Knotts and Universal FL.) Kennywood decorates the whole park from top to bottom, where Kings Island (and CP) you hit these "blank" spots in the park where there's no theming and it just kind of ruins the effect or feel.

From Thrillist: The most daring part of the ride—the drop into the ravine along the river—was part of the Pippin. Vettel added a lift hill and several helix turns in the middle of the ride that upped the thrill factor significantly.
Pittsburgh people are nice and Kennywood customers are for the most part courteous, well-behaved, dress appropriately, and all that. You should be able to accomplish a few trips on this fabulous ride without much trouble or embarrassment. The single rider thing sucks, but it beats the hell out of seat dividers!
