Rock County is a county in the U.S. state of Nebraska.As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 1,262. [1] Its county seat is Bassett. [2]In the Nebraska license plate system, Rock County is represented by the prefix 81 (it had the 81st-largest number of vehicles registered in the county when the license plate system was established in 1922).
The Bassett Lodge and Range Cafe, located at 205 Clark in Bassett, Nebraska, USA, was built during 1949–51. It was designed by local architect and lumberyard owner Thomas J. Galleher in Moderne style. It is designated Nebraska historic resource RO01-041 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. [1]
The segment of highway it shares with US 183 and US 20 is a wrong-way concurrency, as while US 20 is going east, NE 7 is going north and US 183 is going south. Also, the segment of NE 7 between Bassett and Springview is a former segment of US 183.

The Rock County Courthouse, located on State St. between Caroline and Bertha Sts. in Bassett, Nebraska, was built in 1939. It is an Art Deco style building designed by E.B. Watson. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The listing included two contributing buildings. [1]
