Download the CBS news app. You can stream 24/7 there if you want. If you want CNN it’s on Pluto. I’d rather spend 10 minutes reading news than watching reality tv news. The CNN live streaming won’t be what is on your cable channel. It is a separate stream of content EXCEPT when there is breaking news happening.
This is a big fail. CNN doesn’t realize why people are tuning in. As people realize CNN+ doesn’t offer live streaming, they will kick it to the curb. They should really say: Hey! Before you click signup, please note that you’re really signing up for new “produced” News shows that are all old news by the time you see it. No live CNN.
Now I believe the cheapest option will be SlingTV. You can get CNN for $30 a month. You can also listen to CNN for free on TuneIN.com. Final option would be to wait until CNN offers a streaming service for $5/mo or something. There has been rumors of such a thing, but nothing announced or known at this time.
Honestly, Al-Jazeera is pretty much a carbon-copy of CNN. They still follow celeb news and run segments following what is happening on twitter, have their own biases, and they stretch news just to fill time. I think some redditors just have a hard on for them because it seems cool to like the "middle-eastern" news channel.
A place for those looking to get away from the traditional cable tv model, and move toward cheaper and legal options like over the air antenna, library collections, and streaming services. Members Online
Get IPTV. Most providers will give a 12 or 24 hour test account, some may charge a small fee for this. Try a few out, then when you find one you like just buy a month sub at first. They may suggest you buy longer, but stick to your guns and make your 1st sub the minimum term.
Or if the CNN content on $10 max is fine... but you want linear hgtv, then get philo for $25. So $35/mo total... which saves you closer to $800/yr. Hell the price you are paying now for directv stream isn't really a deal over the regular price. Personally, giving up both of these...
Can anyone tell me how I can watch CNN for free online or somewhere. Want to cut the cord with cable but can’t lose CNN. Looking for either free or the cheapest option. 1. Add a Comment.
Youtube TV hands down, Local news, nothing more relevant and ability to DVR them. None. Your cheapest option is to combine two of the services, Hulu Live TV, 69.99, plus Hulu's Entertainment add-on, 7.99, plus Philo, 25. Total is 102.98 a month. The Entertainment add-on is necessary for CNBC World and Philo is necessary for BBC World News.
The CNN app already streams CNN live and provides access to pre-recorded content. It strains my imagination to think CNN+ will be any different from the current app, except they'll charge a separate subscription for it. CNN is only decent for breaking news. The vast majority of their streamed content is "analysis" (aka opinion programming).
