The trapezoidal metric thread form is similar to the Acme thread form, except the thread angle is 30°. [4] [5] [6] It is codified by DIN 103. [7] While metric screw threads are more prevalent worldwide than imperial threads for triangular thread forms, the imperially sized Acme threads predominate in the trapezoidal thread form.

British Standard Pipe (BSP) is a set of technical standards for screw threads that has been adopted internationally for interconnecting and sealing pipes and fittings by mating an external thread with an internal (female) thread.
Three different sets of threading gauges. The uppermost gauge is an ISO metric pitch gauge, the larger gauge in the center is for measuring the Acme thread form, and the lower gauge is for Whitworth screws. A thread gauge, [1] also known as a screw gauge [2] or pitch gauge, [3] is used to measure the pitch or lead of a screw thread.
The standard designation for a UTS thread is a number indicating the nominal (major) diameter of the thread, followed by the pitch measured in threads per inch. For diameters smaller than 1 / 4 inch, the diameter is indicated by an integer number defined in the standard; for all other diameters, the inch figure is given.
