U.S. Route 50 or U.S. Highway 50 (US 50) is a major east–west route of the U.S. Highway system, stretching 3,019 miles (4,859 km) from Interstate 80 (I-80) in West Sacramento, California, to Maryland Route 528 (MD 528) in Ocean City, Maryland, on the Atlantic Ocean.
Maine contains two primary U.S. numbered highways: U.S. Route 1 and U.S. Route 2. US 1 has a bypass and business route as well as several alternate alignments designated US 1A. US 1 also has a "child" route - the intrastate U.S. Route 201, a spur route north to the Canada–US border which also has its own alternate, designated US 201A.

State Route 3 (SR 3) is a 120.67-mile-long (194.20 km) state highway located in southern Maine. It is a major interregional highway, connecting the Interstate 95 corridor to the Atlantic coast . The western terminus is at SR 8 , SR 11 and SR 27 in Augusta and the eastern terminus is at SR 102 and SR 198 in Mount Desert .
Its eastern terminus is at the Canada-US border in Vanceboro, where it connects to New Brunswick Route 4. SR 6 is the only highway in Maine to terminate at the Canadian border at both ends. With a length of 207.23 miles (333.50 km), it is the third-longest state highway in Maine. Much of SR 6 runs through isolated parts of the state.
Interstate 395 (I-395) is a 4.99-mile-long (8.03 km) auxiliary Interstate Highway in the U.S. state of Maine.The western terminus of the route is at a cloverleaf interchange with I-95 near downtown Bangor.

The highway enters Maine from the New Hampshire state line in Kittery and runs for 303 miles (488 km) to the Canada–United States border at Houlton. It is the only primary Interstate Highway in Maine.
