Hello, I’ve pre-ordered the new M4 Mac Mini, and I’m looking for a suitable monitor within a limited budget. The variety of options available where I live is also restricted. This is my first Mac device. I’ve always used Windows laptops.
PCMag's 2023 4K monitor 'best of' article included an Editor's Choice for the Philips Brilliance 279P1 27" 4K monitor. It's currently on sale around $300. It's currently on sale around $300. I bought one a couple years back; my main setup is a 2017 27" 5K iMac, but I use the Philips off and on with notebook computers, and I like it.
I'm using the LG 32UP83A (which I got on sale recently for around $300) with my M1 Mac Mini. Connected via Thunderbolt cable from Cable Matters. Monitor does come with a power brick, probably due to the charging pass through. Be warned, the monitor size is big. I didn't realize how big it would be until it was delivered.
The hunt for a monitor is the only thing holding me back from ordering a Mac Mini. My MBP does not look great on my 32” Odyssey G7, even with BetterDisplay, but I need a display that I can share with my gaming laptop. I’d be upgrading from a 2015 iMac, and parting with that display is going to be hard.
I just did a little experiment with my mac mini M1. I usually have it connected via HDMI, giving me 2560x1440 as the highest HiDPI res. I now have a HyperDrive USB-C to DisplayPort, with a DisplayPort to HDMI converter. Because the mac mini sees it as a DP (over USB), I suddenly get the 3008x1692 resolution.
Mx Series Mini always started at 256Gb SSD so if is a 128Gb if missed the 8 off then not going to be an Mx series Apple Silicon Mac Mini. As such you may want to double check the spec of the mini you getting as if you are being told is a 128gb then not an Apple Silicon M2 mini that going to be getting.
Hi all ! With the threads multiplying about monitor choices for the Mac mini M1 and since I got many likes about my proposition to create a wiki thread listing compatible monitors, I decided to create a wiki thread where everyone could contribute. If you have a monitor which is compatible with...
Definitely not the "best" performing monitor, but good for having documents side by side for when I am working. It is currently connected to my M1 Mac Mini, and is connected to the 165Hz HDMI port. Just my opinion, but I initially thought I would prefer an ultra wide for WoW, but after getting one, I prefer the ratio of the 27" iMac over the ...
Hi, Looking to purchase a suitable monitor to use with a mac mini m4. Mostly using for graphic design (adobe creative suite ) and photography post production. There’s a mine field of info online about scaling issues between 3rd party monitors and macs. Had been looking at Asus pro art and Dell ultra Sharp series.
I’m purchasing a new Mac Mini M2 Pro and I’m just not sure what monitor to buy. I've read quite a few articles on the forum about resolutions, HiDPI and other things that you might encounter when buying a monitor for a Mac Mini. So I'm choosing between a monitor with a resolution of 1440p...
