The area dates back to colonial times when in November 1740, the Dutch East Indies Company designated Glodok as a residential area for ethnic Chinese. Administratively, the area is a kelurahan under the Taman Sari district, West Jakarta. [1] Glodok is one of biggest trading centers for electronic goods in Jakarta.
The active Gondangdia Station is now an elevated station on the Jakarta Kota–Manggarai elevated railway. On 5 June 1992, President Soeharto along with Mrs. Tien Soeharto and the ranks in the government inaugurated the elevated railway by taking the KRL from Gambir to Jakarta Kota Station. [7] [8] [9]

Jakarta Kota Station (Indonesian: Stasiun Jakarta Kota, station code: JAKK) [1] is a railway station, located in the old city core of Kota, Jakarta, Indonesia. The station was named Batavia Zuid [ 2 ] (or South Batavia ) until the beginning of the 20th century.
Along with Corridor 2, Corridor 3 was inaugurated on January 15, 2006 which received high enthusiasm from the people. [2] [3] [4] It was targeted that there would be 71 new bus fleets serving Corridor 3 and 2 in April 2006, or three months after the first day of operational. [5]
