The Thompson Brothers Boat Manufacturing Company of Peshtigo, Wisconsin was a manufacturer of pleasure boats and canoes.Founded by brothers Peter and Christ Thompson in 1904, [1] the company became prominent in the field and built boats for nearly one hundred years. [2]
The boat has a draft of 18 in (46 cm) with the standard keel and is normally fitted with a small outboard motor for docking and maneuvering. [1] The design has sleeping accommodation for two people in two 96 in (240 cm) berths. The head is a portable type. Ventilation is provided by a single foredeck hatch. Stowage space includes a lazarette. [3]

In 2005 the name of the boat was changed from Dart 15 to Sprint 15. On January 1, 2023, the class's name reverted to Dart 15 . At present just over 2,000 Dart 15 boats have been sold, and there is an active class association and racing schedule.
