The foundations of Bangladeshi rock started in the 1950s as a fusion of American rock and roll and Bengali classical music. In the 1960s, the Gramophone Company of Pakistan imported many LPs and singles from rock and roll artists like Cliff Richard and the Shadows, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys and the Hollies, which sold very well in Bangladesh.

Love Runs Blind, commonly known as LRB was a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Chittagong by Ayub Bachchu. Since their formation, they have released thirteen studio albums, one live album and two compilation albums. They toured the US, and were the only Bangladeshi rock band to play Madison Square Gardens in New York. [2]
Nova is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 1986 by Ahmed Fazal. The band rose to prominence in the early 1990s, establishing themselves in Bangladesh. They were one of the most influential bands of that time. The name of the first album of the band is, Ahoban. The album's call song became very popular then.
This album was a major hit, and Feelings became a mainstream band. [12] In 1996, they released their third album, Nagar Baul. The Daily Star wrote, "Nagar Baul introduced Bangladesh to a whole new way of singing".
