If you gag on the taste of cream cheese, then obviously you wouldn't want cream cheese frosting. I fall into this latter camp. No cream cheese frosting for me.

Hi, I wanna make some cinnamon rolls and the recipe calls for a cream cheese frosting thats just cream cheese butter and powdered sugar. Thing is in my neck of the world cream cheese isn't really a thing. Closest thing we get is Philadelphia or mascarpone.
Thick ass schmear of cream cheese frosting for me. Best cinnamon roll I ever had was from Fritz’s bakery. It was so well balanced, it tasted like a cross between an Auntie Anne’s pretzel and a cinnamon roll.
