If a section grows too large and Wikipedia doesn't yet have a list that includes those items, split the section off. If the section is too large and there is a list with those items, merge the section with the list. In both cases, apply the summary style on the section (using list content instead of paragraphs).
When a section is a summary of another article that provides a full exposition of the section, a link to the other article should appear immediately under the section heading. You can use the {{ Main }} template to generate a "Main article" link, in Wikipedia's "hatnote" style.

As with other top-level headings, two equal signs should be used to mark up the external links heading (see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Layout § Headings). External links should always be the last section in an article. It precedes categories and some kinds of navigation templates.
Go to the Talk Page (also known as the discussion page) of the target article (the one you want to merge to) and create a section (eg: "Merger proposal") to discuss the merger. If there's already a discussion on the talk page regarding the merger, you can omit this step.
Please do not use a "level one" heading (only one equals sign on each side, i.e.: =Heading=). This would cause a section heading as large as the page title at the top of the page.
