In 1868, the building was expanded by local architect Hans Price [1] and renamed Rock House & Royal Pier Hotel, subsequently shortened to Royal Pier Hotel. The Holnicote Estate (/ ˈ h ʌ n ɪ ˌ k ʌ t /) is a property consisting of 5,026 hectares (12,420 acres) of Exmoor National Park situated in West Somerset.
