Willow River State Park is a 2,891-acre (1,170 ha) Wisconsin state park located five miles (8 km) north of Hudson. The centerpiece of the park is Willow Falls, a powerful cascade in a 200-foot (61 m) deep gorge. Another popular feature is Little Falls Lake, a shallow reservoir on the Willow River.
It includes the cities of Hudson and River Falls, as well as the village of North Hudson. It also contains the University of Wisconsin–River Falls campus, Willow River State Park, and Kinnickinnic State Park. [2] The district is represented by Republican Shannon Zimmerman, since January 2017. [3]

In 1895, the state legislature created an act which authorized the state governor to examine some land in Polk County at the Dalles of the St. Croix River to become a state park. [2] In 1899, the legislature approved the purchase of Interstate State Park and it was established on September 20, 1900. [2]
Other outdoor recreational activities include mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding, as well as camping on a site adjacent to the Willow River. Trails include 40 miles (64 km) for hiking , 37 miles (60 km) available for Class I and II all-terrain vehicle use as well as dirt biking .
Willow River is a city in Pine County, Minnesota, United States, at the confluence of the Kettle and Willow Rivers. The population was 415 at the 2010 census. [6]Interstate 35, County Road 43, and County 61 (Cross Street) are three of the main routes in the community.
