It was the home of Alfred Kelley, built in 1838. The house stayed in the family for decades, and was later an Ohio governor's mansion, and further on, a Catholic school. It was abandoned in the 1950s, and was deconstructed in 1961 in order to build the Christopher Inn (extant from 1963 to 1988).

Cooney State Park is a public recreation area bordering Cooney Reservoir, fourteen miles (23 km) south of Columbus in Carbon County, Montana.The state park occupies 309 acres (125 ha) on three sides of the reservoir, a 1,078-acre (436 ha) impoundment of Red Lodge Creek completed in 1937.
The original area known as Franklin Park Place can be seen, as well as the non-extant racetrack within the park. Development in Franklin Park began in the 1850s and continued through the 1880s. In 1948 the first 75-acre tract of land was purchased for the park. This tract included an overlook of the 100-foot shale bluffs and two ancient earthworks by the Cole culture. In 1964 and 1965, the Metro Parks purchased adjacent land and began planning for the park. [4] The park opened September 22, 1973 as the fifth Metro Park.
