Akakichi no Eleven (赤き血のイレブン, Akakichi no Irebun, literally "Red-Blooded Eleven" [1]) is a manga series written by Ikki Kajiwara with drawings by Mitsuyoshi Sonoda. An anime adaptation produced by Tokyo TV Douga aired between 1970 and 1971, which consists of 52 episodes lasting about 24 minutes.

Mitsuyoshi Sonoda (園田 光慶, Sonoda Mitsuyoshi, December 7, 1940 – July 1997) was a Japanese manga artist.During the time in which manga was often distributed through lending libraries, Sonoda used the pen name Hidekazu Arikawa (ありかわ 栄一, Arikawa Hidekazu).
He is best known for his role as Char Aznable in multiple Gundam series, Scorpio Milo in Saint Seiya 1980s, Shuichi Akai from Detective Conan, and Red-Haired Shanks from One Piece.
