The RotorWay Exec is a family of American two-bladed, skid-equipped, two-seat kit helicopters, manufactured by RotorWay International of Chandler, Arizona and supplied in kit form for amateur-construction.
In 1980, RotorWay introduced the RW145 engine, and the Exec helicopter. This was the first helicopter produced by RotorWay that strived to get away from the "kit helicopter" look. Unlike previous helicopters, the Exec did not have an exposed frame or exposed engine and far more attention was given to the aesthetics of the aircraft.
The A600 Talon is a development of the RotorWay Exec and externally resembles the earlier design. The A600 incorporates a different structure, a shaft-driven tail rotor, taller and longer landing skids and a new in-house developed turbocharged powerplant.
The kit was designed specifically for the Rotorway Exec, to convert it to turbine power, under the US Experimental - Amateur-built aircraft rules. The resulting aircraft features a single main rotor, a two-seats-in side-by-side configuration enclosed cockpit with a windshield, skid-type landing gear and a 150 hp (112 kW) Solar T62 turbo-shaft engine.

The company offered a turbine conversion kit for the Rotorway Exec, using a Solar T62 auxiliary power unit engine to create the Hillberg Turbine Exec. The Hillberg EH1-01 RotorMouse was a single-seat helicopter with stub-wings. At least one example of each design was flown. [1] [2]
The RotorWay Exec was developed into a turbine-powered version in 1996 by AvioTecnica of Italy and marketed as the AvioTecnica ES-101 Raven. In 2008 the Raven design was acquired by Alpi and further developed. [1] The AH 130 externally resembles the RotorWay Exec.
