1. I have 2011 Chevy equinox lt with the 2.4 four cylinder engine. Everything seems to be working fine except I can not get it to quite sending out p0300 code. I've changed plugs and yes used the AC Delco plugs that it only likes. Replaced coil packs and I've replaced the MAF. I've cleaned the PCV and sea foamed it for carbon build up.

The engine has been rebuilt with new rings, bearings, pistons, timing, both fuel pumps, vvt solenoids, both fuel pressure sensors, fuel injectors, plugs, coils, cam phasers and both 02 sensors. It has random multiple misfire at idle and bucks and jerks when in gear at idle. When given a little throttle it smooths out.

After the third time it stalls the check engine light comes on and either the code P0420 (catalytic converter) pops or code N/a pops. May 2013 edited April 2014. I have a 2011 Chevy Equinox that is also have the same engine problems (diesel-like start, rough idle, stalling, etc). It has been at the dealership for 5 days, and they have yet to "duplicate" the problem. The "problem" was occurring all weekend before I dropped it off to the dealership on Monday.

I have had it into my mechanic a couple of times. I did have a leaky power sterring pump which he changed. I have had new brake pads and rotors put on.

0. 2010 Equinox 2.4 Ecotec 120,00 miles. MIL came on and scanned P0016 and P0017 codes, checked and changed oil. No fix, same codes. Replaced intake and exhaust VVT solenoids. No fix, same codes. Found timing chain guide broken so I installed new timing chain kit. No fix, same codes. Replaced crankshaft sensor.
