The College of Engineering Pune (COEP) Technological University is a unitary public university of the Government of Maharashtra, [5] situated in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Established in 1854, it is the 3rd oldest engineering institute in India, after College of Engineering, Guindy (1794) and IIT Roorkee (1847).

The college campus is 200 acres (0.81 km 2). The academic block was inaugurated on 25 December 2006 and the department was later provided with separate blocks: a total of 6 academic blocks and one administration building. A library, staff quarters, hostel, and a guest house were added. The college also inaugurated the statue of Jawaharlal Nehru.
The Department of Textile Technology was established in 1945 under the University of Madras and was later integrated with the Anna University. It offers two undergraduate courses: B.Tech - Textile Technology; B.Tech - Apparel Technology; It also offers a postgraduate course M.Tech in Textile Technology. PhD programmes are also available.
