Most U.S. state flags were designed and adopted between 1893 and World War I. [ 1] The most recently adopted state flag is that of Minnesota, adopted on May 11, 2024; while the most recently adopted territorial flag is that of the Northern Mariana Islands, adopted on July 1, 1985. The flag of the District of Columbia was adopted in 1938.

According to the "Album des pavillons", the flag of the governor of Aruba consists of a white field with three horizontal stripes along the top and bottom, colored red, white, and blue. [9] [10] Each stripe occupies 1/12th of the flag's height. In the center of the flag, there is a light blue disk with a diameter equal to 5/12th the flag's height.
