I run 13 nzxt fans + 360 aio + case no issues with any parts. CAM is by far my favorite hardware monitoring software (especially mini mode), additionally the UI is simple and not bloated, settings for my AIO are easy to change (fan speed pump speed etc) and lighting is also easy to change. Personally for me CAM is a 10/10.
Has anyone else had Windows Defender flag NZXT CAM for a PUA:Win32/Softcnapp virus? I removed the virus, and tried to reinstall CAM, but the issue keeps popping up. It seems that CAM cannot run without allowing this virus to remain. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm wondering if this is a false positive, but have been unable to find answers ...
I have a few NZXT AER RGB 2 fans connected to my PC via a hub. It has all been working for the longest time but suddenly no devices are being detected by CAM. The fans are all spinning and lighting up white, but nothing can be done to control them. I have tried reinstalling CAM, updating drivers, switching internal USB ports, but nothing has ...

TLDR: After a LOT of hardware + software troubleshooting on my PC, I found a long forum thread about NZXT CAM issues. After disabling the software from startup, I stopped having ANY issues. It seems to mostly affect AMD, but some say it affects their Intel build in the thread linked above. SOLUTION: Disable NZXT CAM from startup in software ...
It's a bit of a janky fix but it works. In the windows settings of signalrgb. Ensure signalrgb opens on startup and uncheck automatically close conflicting programs. In CAM settings ensure CAM doesn't start on start up. Download this program and let set CAM start 1 minute after startup (previous reddit posts say to use Windows Task Scheduler ...
In EZ Gif use the following settings for the highest quality gif: Size - 800, FPS 25, Method - FFJPEG+ImageMagick. If you have a lot of videos to upload and convert, open multiple tabs on EZ Gif and you can upload them all simultaneously. CAM says that the max gif size is 20MB but I had ZERO problems uploading 60MB+ gifs.
The NZXT support website begs to differ. Quote from CAM FAQs: "CAM is able to control 3rd party RGB devices when connected to an N7 Z490/Z590/B550 motherboard via the standard RGB connectors found on the motherboard. Additionally, CAM is able to control RGB RAM via ASUS's Aura Sync API Service." (I notice it only says the Z490, Z590, and B550 ...

The only way to get rid of lag and stuttering is to close NZXT Cam and use the "default in-built profile" int the AIO (obviously I can't change anymore the FAN profile, speed, LCD settings, and other stuff). I've the lastest BIOS version and all chipset driver are up to date, the system image is fine (without encoutering any errors in many deep ...
