Ketema is located near the market of Deq, a local market which existed before the resettlement program and is frequented by the Agew and Gumuz peoples. [ 2 ] Based on figures from the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, Ketema has an estimated total population of 3,262 of whom 1,540 are men and 1,722 are women. [ 3 ]
Wolkite Ketema was founded in 2010. [2] The club last played in the second division, Ethiopian Higher League, during the 2018–2019 season. [3] That season Wolkite earned a promotion to the Ethiopian Premier League by finishing top of their respective group. [4]
Ketema Nigusse (born 29 January 1981 in Kuyu) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in cross-country running. At the 2003 World Cross Country Championships he finished thirteenth in the long race, while the Ethiopian team of which he was a part finished second in the team competition. He also finished seventeenth in the short race.
