Leslie Poles Hartley CBE (30 December 1895 – 13 December 1972) was an English novelist and short story writer. Although his first fiction was published in 1924, his best-known works are the Eustace and Hilda trilogy (1944–1947) and The Go-Between (1953).
The second book of a planned fictional trilogy titled Sekret Machines: Book 2 – A Fire Within was released in 2018 and also co-authored by Hartley. [5] DeLonge is also working on a series of non-fiction Sekret Machines books with occult novelist Peter Levenda. The first book in that series titled Sekret Machines: Gods was released in 2017. Author Michael Russell wrote and published a spoof called Fly Fishing: Memories of Angling Days, by J. R. Hartley in 1991. [4] [5] The book was a best seller and led to two additional best sellers under the pseudonym J. R. Hartley: J.R. Hartley Casts Again – More Memories of Angling Days (1992) and Golfing by J. Hartley (1995). [2]
