The 2024 Pakistan Super League (referred to as HBL PSL 9 for sponsorship reasons) was the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League.Established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015 as a franchise Twenty20 cricket league, it was played between six teams in a double round robin and page playoff system.

The second League-stage match between the two sides was held in Lahore on 11 February. Sultans, who before this match won 6 out of their 6 matches and already qualified for the playoffs decided to give match practice to their benched players. The fifth edition of the PSL was the first season with all matches to be played in Pakistan. PCB chairman Ehsan Mani announced in June 2019 that all matches of the league would be played in the home country. It was announced that Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi would host all games. [36]
The event was previously known as Karachi Champions League which hosted only 16 cricket clubs from the city in 2010. In 2012, the League was able to expand and host 40 cricket clubs which included 7 international clubs, 16 clubs from Karachi and 17 other cricket clubs from all over Pakistan.
