My Name Is Khan is a 2010 social drama film directed by Karan Johar and co-written by Shibani Bathija and Niranjan Iyengar.It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles, and is a co-production between India, the United States and Hong Kong.

My Name Is Khan was co-produced by Johar's brother, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Khan's wife, Gauri Khan, under the Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment banners respectively. Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy composed the soundtrack while Niranjan Iyengar and Javed Akhtar wrote the lyrics for its songs.

The song "My Name Is Khan" was released as a promotional single on 21 July 2013, [6] the video promo of the song "Jibon Amar" was released on 26 July 2013. [7] and on 30 July 2013, the promo video of "Shokale Tomae Dekhi" was released.
This is the first Karan Johar film without Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Malhotra and Dhawan had previously worked as assistant directors under Johar during the making of My Name Is Khan (2010).
