The historic Bullock Hotel is located at the corner of Wall Street and Main Street in Deadwood, South Dakota.It was built by Seth Bullock, an early sheriff of Deadwood, and his business partner Sol Star, in around 1895 at a cost of $40,000 [1] and is the oldest hotel in Deadwood, boasting a casino, restaurant, and 28 of its original 63 rooms.

The Charles Gurney Hotel is a historic three-story building in Yankton, South Dakota. Replacing the original St. Charles Hotel (constructed in 1870 by J.W.C. Morrison of local cottonwood lumber ), the present building was built in 1891 with brick and Sioux Falls granite .

The Garlock Building, at 522 Mount Rushmore Rd. in Custer, South Dakota, was built in 1890 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. [1] It is Early Commercial in style. [2] It was built by Thomas Van Der Vort Garlock, who came to Custer in 1884.
