Lows: poor student support resources (tutoring, counseling, accommodations and support for disability, academic advising). Usually this is a matter of funding (UNC gets loads of money), but there were many resources I used at App which were better quality than both NCSU and UNC with less funding.
Yep. I get loads of grants and subsidized loans here at NCSU. Unless you have a family rich enough to pay out of state tuition, it just isn’t worth it. You will get next to NO aid. There’s a reason every state has a land grant university.
NC. North Carolina has the SAS hq in Cary. We also have ibm/red hat in downtown Raleigh. In RTap you can find a ton of careers in the IT field. NC State has a good program. Prob cuz it’s a state college encumbered by the needs for the state. Other universities are not beholden to an entire state’s academic requirements. State tries to educate those who cannot otherwise afford to go out of state or to Carolina or Duke. Those who don’t want a vacation for 5 years, UNCW and App.
