  2. Dyna-Glo Wide Body Vertical Offset Smoker - Smoking Meat Forums

    www.smokingmeatforums.com/threads/dyna-glo-wide-body-vertical-offset-smoker.229803

I ordered a new Dyna-Glo wide body vertical offset smoker last week on-line. After reading some threads on modifications to similar grills, I also order a tube of Sil-Bond high temp food grade silicone and Nomex tape. I thought I should follow the advice of those who have done this before and do the mods as I put it together.

Bought my steel plate and hardware, also needed a blade for my jigsaw to get a smooth cut. Got all this for $30. While we're discussing hardware, I discovered that 8-32 screws are sold in 12 round packs for about $2.50 each. Going any bigger in screw size and the packs drop to 6 screws for the same price.

  4. Lowering temp on a Dyna-glo LP gas smoker - Smoking Meat Forums

    www.smokingmeatforums.com/threads/lowering-temp-on-a-dyna-glo-lp-gas-smoker.321202

I bought a Dyna-Glo wide-body LP Gas smoker without doing much research first (got too excited to get smoking!) and I'm having trouble getting it dialed in. I'm mainly smoking fish, specifically marlin because we'll catch an occasional marlin and you really can't eat or give away (as crazy as that sounds) 200+lbs of fillet/chunks so I'm trying ...

  8. Trying to find out about a wood burning Dyna-glo smoker.

I bought a Dyna-Glo vertical offset back earlier in the summer. I couldn't pass up the $150 price tag on Walmart website. It was very easy to assemble and I've had fantastic cooking results. The included thermo sucks, upgrade it for sure, and there are a few leaks that can be easily fixed up. You can't go wrong for the $ and it looks nice too!

Jan 3, 2016. #1. I have a 2 year old Dyna Glo smoker that I've used about 10 times, which was my first experience with using a smoker of any kind. I've had decent results so far but now looking to get temps a bit more stable by sealing things up and have a few questions. First, I've noticed a lot of folks using Nomex tape on the doors.

  10. Having temperature control issues on my Dyna-glo verticals smoker...

I'm having trouble keeping my temperature low. I'm getting a consistent 250 but it won't go lower. Let's make sure I have this right, if I close the vent on the fire box my temp should go down. Vice Versa if I open that vent it should become warmer. If I open my chimney vent it should cool and...

After years of cooking in a homemade trash can smoker I decided to upgrade a little. I settled on a Dyna-Glow wide body vertical offset charcoal smoker. I'm not a fan of chasing Temps or continuously feeding the firebox so I ordered a banjo burner on Amazon with a 20lb regulator and some fire...
