Tom Welling is set to reprise his Smallville role as Clark Kent in the CW’s upcoming DC Arrowverse crossover, joining two other actors who have played the Man of Steel, Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh that are already set to portray the character in the crossover.
Also Tom Welling's Superman blows the others out of the water in terms of strength. He pushed an entire planet out of the solar system. I can't imagine Tyler's superman being able to do that. The SM v SM fight was poor CGI but it was lovely seeing BR as Superman again. Jon Cryer is a very lacklustre Lex Luthor.

He was in his early 20s when Smallville happened and ran for 10 years. At that point he was: 1. 10 years older 2. Had enough money that he didn't have to worry about keeping himself up. These days Tom is 44.
Tom Welling He really seems to have hit the wall considering he’s only 45. I appreciate that he and Rosenbaum are taking on this challenge though for the fans.

Tom looks like the guy who wordlessly ambles up to you at the Eagle and with your approving eye contact playfully pushes his bloated belly into you as you lean in for a kiss….
February 5, 2018 1:02 PM. Watched an episode of Lucifer tonight. Tom welling has gained quite a bit of weight since the season premier. It's rather noticeable. At the beginning of the season he looked good. Now sporting a double chin in most scenes. by Anonymous.

Having already plumbed the depths of the Superman well for “Smallville,” which survived the demise of the WB network to run for a full decade, The CW’s gone back to its Kansan/Kryptonian roots for “Superman and Lois,” a strangely grim take on one of comics’ brightest heroes.
Tom Welling was basically “heart of gold quarterback” Superman and that portrayal was ghastly. Superman should look like Greek deity Apollo who has come down from Olympus to help the mortals. The benign, divine grace is hard to get from most model/actors who reek of arrogant pretty boy (I include Fodé in this.)
