Hi - Can anyone give me the pros and cons of an implant vs. a permanet bridge? Aside from the money aspect ofcourse. My tooth is a bottom molar just infront of my wisdom tooth which is above the surface and does not bother me. The tooth is cracked and gives me a lot of pain, already had a RC in it. Once I decide on

  3. Bridge vs. Implants? - HealthBoards Message Boards

Should the tooth be extracted, I am leaning towards getting a bridge, as 8 and 10 need crowns, anyway. Whether or not 9 gets extracted, 8 and 10 will be crowned, along with 9, if I keep it. Also weighing in on the bridge vs. implant decision is the fact that I can get a temporary in a lot quicker than I would be able to with an implant.

Having the root canal and crown would make the tooth healthy again, and if the supporting structure around the tooth is good, it seems worthwhile to me.

He did put bone in 3 months before the implant, that took fine. A couple of weeks ago (3 months after failure) he took another X Ray and thinks there is enough bone to place implant. I'm kind of leaning towards a bridge though, since I want to get veneers and this way I can cut the cost of 3 teeth by getting them all the same whiter color.

My surgeon is out of pocket for two more weeks, so I am seeing his recommended on call surgeon in four days for the x-ray. Just need some piece of mind. If everything is ok with the knee there has been mention of manipulation. Just want to educate myself and get advice from those that have experienced it--pros and cons.

There are a few issues that concern me, the variability of price being one of them. I have found the ReBuilder 300 selling from $650.00 to as high as $2000.00. A lack of consensus regarding its attributes is another problem. Some people claim the device is a waste of money while other have high praise for it.
